Our research at the Chair of Animal Ecology of the Institute of Ecology combines field work with quantitative analysis and dynamic modelling for applied animal ecology and conservation planning. We focus on different levels of biological organisation, from individuals to communities, and across gradients of human altered environments, with the ultimate aim to understand and predict species adaptation to global change.
